He’s officially a Tiger!
Our new principal, Mr. Bridgman, has wasted no time getting to know North Mesa! From meeting students and staff to jumping into the day-to-day life of our school, he is already becoming a familiar and welcome face around campus.
We’re loving his enthusiasm, his willingness to listen, and his excitement about making North Mesa an amazing place for our students and families.
We’re so happy to have you here, Mr. Bridgman!
Welcome again to the Tiger family! 💙🐯
WHY I LOVE D70 – Today, we highlight Brett Bridgman, principal at North Mesa Elementary. Brett has spent 23 years in education, much of that time serving District 70 students and families.
Education has always been part of Brett’s life. His mother was a kindergarten teacher and his father was a coach. “Getting a good education was emphasized, obviously, in my household,” he said. “I could appreciate that growing up.”
When asked what makes him proud to work in District 70, Brett points to the people, the pride and the sense of community. “There are good families, good parents, good staff and teachers,” he said. “There’s a lot of loyalty in District 70, which I appreciate, and the tradition is deep.”
For Brett, one of the best parts of his job is seeing students have those moments when something finally clicks. Now back at the elementary level, he also loves seeing how excited students are to be at school. “It’s refreshing that they want to be here and they’re ready to learn.”
When asked to describe the D70 community in three words, Brett chose hardworking, pride and support. After 23 years in education, it is the people, the community and the opportunity to see students learn and grow that make District 70 a special place to call home.
Go D70!
