🌟 Shout-Out to Planet Fitness! 🌟

We are SO excited to see our students tomorrow for the first day of school! We can't wait to welcome everyone back and begin another amazing year of learning, loving, and leading together! 💛

🌞 Morning Arrival
Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the front of the building.
1st -5th grade Students will line up on the blacktop at 7:40 a.m. Kindergarten will line up on their playground.
Staff will be outside at 7:40 to help students find their classroom teacher and get lined up.

Driveline will NOT go live until Wednesday.

For tomorrow only, ALL students will be picked up from the blacktop.
🚗 Important Drop-Off Reminders
Please help us keep our morning drop-off moving safely and efficiently:

Whether you enter through the front loop or back loop, students must exit from the passenger side of the vehicle.

Please do not get out of your vehicle to open your child's door.

Students may open their own doors, or staff will be available to assist with opening and closing doors.

Please pull all the way through the loop before letting your child out. Stopping at the front door causes the entire line to back up.

Tomorrow only, our parking lot will remain open during morning drop-off. For the remainder of the school year, the parking lot will be closed during morning drop-off to help provide a safe and efficient arrival for everyone.

🚌 Afternoon Dismissal
Please note that we will no longer dismiss students to the church after school. The back loop will have moving vehicles, and we will not send students to a location that is not a safe dismissal area.

If you choose to park at the church, please walk down the sidewalk to Door 4 by the gym. Present your student family number, and we will dismiss your student to you at that location.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we work together to make arrival and dismissal safe for all of our Yearlings. The first day may take a little extra time as we all learn the routines, so please give yourself a few extra minutes.

We can't wait to see our Yearlings tomorrow! Let's make it a GREAT first day! 💛🌟

We’re excited to welcome several new staff members to our Sunset Park family, along with some familiar faces stepping into new roles for the 2026–2027 school year!

Each brings unique experiences, talents, and a whole lot of heart to our school community. We’re so excited to have them on our team and can’t wait to see all the amazing things this new year will bring!

Yesterday’s Back to School Bash was a smashing success — and a great reminder that the first day of school is right around the corner!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 18, as we kick off an exciting new school year. Every student in attendance on the first day will be entered into a drawing for some fabulous prizes!

Remember: Beginning this year, all personal electronic devices — including phones, smartwatches, headphones, and gaming devices — must be turned off and put away during the school day. By unplugging from our devices, we can embrace the analog experience: meaningful, face-to-face connections that boost focus, strengthen communication, and build real-world skills.

Let’s make this the best year yet by being Present, Powerful and Empowered by Reading!

With more than 3,000 attendees at last year's inaugural event, the 2026 Back to School Bash is expected to be even bigger!

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
-- Gates open at 5 p.m. for visitors receiving vaccines, haircuts, dental screenings, or face painting.
-- All other gates open at 6 p.m., when guests can enjoy community partner booths, food trucks, interactive experiences, live entertainment, and more.

Free school supplies will be distributed to the first 3,000 students in attendance. Students must be present to receive a backpack.
