CSU-Pueblo students are joining the national movement for Students For A Free Sadly, the Free Palestine Movement has been conflated with anti-Semtisim.
This is equation is a shameful attempt to discredit the advocacy for Palestinian rights/calls for permanent ceasefire. We encourage followers new & existing, to follow state & national chapters of Jewish Voices For Peace. University students across the nation are collectively organizing & advocating for their school(s) to divest all finances from any & all entities/institutions that profit from or

The initiative for organized student activism for Palestinian liberation on campus is Chicana, women led.
Simply because of their background & identities, organizers recognize the colonial history of universities themselves as institutions. All institutions operate through systems rooted in the foundations of colonialism. These systems are designed to make true progress more difficult to accomplish.
Therefore, navigating these systems within the institution of academia can be overwhelming, time-consuming, and often stressful.
Considering all the above, we organizers would like to clarify the inactivity of our activism on campus is due to the university requests of needing to go through the processes of the systems in order to organize towards reaching and engaging with more students.
We have not been able to organize meetings or presentations/teach-ins as we had aimed to in secure, fitted spaces because these spaces must be paid for if not a registered student organization.
We recognize the power of the People, of students across the globe who have defied these systems, and have successfully organized in mass to hold their institutions of higher education accountable in their support to Zionism and complicity in the ongoing Palestinian g3nocide.
However, considering Pueblo and our students are a smaller community, registering as a student organization is the current best route we can take to achieve the small wins at our university of CSU-Pueblo.
🍉Message us if you are interested in helping form CSU-P Students for A Free Palestine as an official student club.🍉

Tonight!!!
Vigil went very well. We were not asked to leave - we were not approached by any law enforcement. We prayed, beautiful voices sang beautiful songs, we recited poems, shared words, tears and hugs in peace.
Thank you community for sharing space with us. Much love to all ✌🏼

Hi everyone
We CSU-P Students 4 a Free Pali are posting this as a PSA.
We understand as community organizers it is our duty to keep those in attendance of demonstrations of all kinds, informed and thus safe.
As we share at every event, it is vital community recognizes and understands with protest and use of voice for change, there always comes risk(s).
We live in a country where freedom of speech is a right, but a policed one. Often forms of protest and the language and tones of voice we use to fight for social justice is heavily criticized- people who are complicit in upholding colonial standards will not make activism a walk in the park... as it never is.... upholders of colonialism will never support activism that may make those of the status quo uncomfortable and/or doing what may be rule breaking to them..... do not forget disruption and civil disobedience are needed to enact true changes.
We Students 4 A Free Pali will always be fighters for PEACE and we stand firm in our way forth in achieving this.... so with that we are saddened to announce we may not be able to grief together tonight in peace... per school policy and with the support of the university president, the fountain is "closed after 7 p.m."
⚠️If you attend tonight be aware we may be asked to leave.
This vigil is only scheduled to last an hour however we may face confrontation from sherif dep or school admin. Do not engage. Direct such individuals to lead organizer. Organizers will handle communications with officials.
Thank you for your love and support. We got your back.

Reminder for tomorrow! Tomorrow is
As Palestinians continue to face systematic genocide, forced displacement, and loss of cultural knowledge keepers, we come together in grief and solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters across the sea.
All are welcome to join. We are eachothers community. We are part of a global community, and we will not be silent until we reach liberation for all.

The Nakba had a profound impact on the Palestinian people, who lost their homes, their land, and their way of life. It remains a deeply traumatic event in their collective memory and continues to shape their struggle for justice and for their right to return to their homes... a People, their homes and lands who are continuing to face violent, systematic genocide as the West Bank and Rafah are undergoing brutal invasions and bombings. 🇵🇸
