Today was graduation day for the latest AFFIRM class. It was a great ending to a great week. Perfect weather and a perfect setting to learn all about alternative fuel emergencies and tactics for responding to them. There's a couple classes for 2026 on the calendar and a bunch in the 2027 calendar which is NOW OPEN!!! I was a little late getting this one posted as it was a non-stop weekend at our household! Anyway, last week was the latest tank car specialist class for 2026 and it did not disappoint! These men and women come to get the job done and that they did! We also had the added bonus of having BNSF Hazmat Manager Travis Hudson with us all week who brings years and years of industrial expertise and railroad knowledge to enhance the class. Great work by everyone and we can't wait to see y'all again soon!!!

This week I was back out in Chicago at the CN Homewood Campus to help deliver the 3rd Dangerous Goods Sentinel class of 2026. It was another great week working with the railroaders at CN. I'm always very thankful for the opportunities I have to work with these types of professionals from all over the world. Here's to many more courses in 2027!!!

This week the Norfolk Southern Railroad was in the house delivering their annual Hazmat Sentinel program, bringing all kinds of legends of the game to help out with the course delivery. SERTC is excited to be the go-to facility for this kind of training and I'm always extremely grateful to be a part of the classes and learn from the best hazmat responders to ever do it.
