This week turned into industry hazmat week as we hosted 2 of our larger chemical industry partners. Tim, Chris and John had about 30 folks from BASF while Hector J Rivera, Kelly Bozarth - SERTC and I had a group of 14 from the ExxonMobil Baytown R&D group. We had a great time this week with these folks and really look forward to seeing them out here at SERTC again!

This week I had the pleasure of helping with the inaugural class for the new CN Dangerous Goods Sentinel Advisor program. SERTC is proud to be part of such an important program with one of our invaluable class 1 railroad partners. We look forward to continuing to deliver this program and expanding on it even further in the future.

Today was graduation day for 41 new Highway Emergency Response Specialists. This week these men and women learned the ins and outs of highway containers of all kinds as well as how to respond to them when bad things happen. Everyone did great, and kept a great approach and attitude to the situations we presented them, even in the triple digit temps and smoky air. We can't wait to see them here again soon!

Friday was graduation day for the newest batch of glow worms. These men and women from all over North America just competed 80 hours of hazmat technician training and did so in sweltering triple digit temperatures. That didn't even slow them down though as they were able to work through everything we threw at them. Great job by everyone these last two weeks! Stay safe and we look forward to seeing y'all again soon!!!
