The Goodnight Social Committee is proud to launch our 1st Annual Winter Coat Drive! To ensure all of our students stay warm and comfortable this winter, they are collecting new or gently used winter coats. All donations will directly benefit students right here at Goodnight. If you have any gently used coat that your family has outgrown or would like to donate a new one, your generosity will make a huge difference!

🎃 Spooktacular Attendance: Kicking Off Our October Challenges! 👻

We are so excited to officially kick off our attendance challenge this week at Goodnight K-8! A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our amazing parents and families for your incredible dedication in getting your students to school on time, every single day. Your partnership makes all the difference!

We already have some phenomenal turnout, and we are thrilled to celebrate our very first winners of the challenge! Huge congratulations to Mrs. Spellman’s class, Mrs. Smith’s class, and Ms. Sandstrom’s class for taking home the win this week. Check out these shining Longhorn stars showing off their winning momentum.

To keep the excitement going, here is a quick breakdown of how our attendance challenges work:

1. The Surprise "Boo" Ceremony: This is a random attendance incentive. Neither teachers nor students will know when it's happening, so encourage your class to be here every single day! The classroom with the highest attendance average on that undisclosed day will be surprised with a special "Boo" treat delivered right to their room.

2. Build-a-Jack-O'-Lantern Challenge (K–5 Only): This contest runs through October 31st (or until the first class wins). Our counselors are handing out Jack-O'-Lantern materials to each classroom. Every day a class achieves a 95% attendance rate or higher, they get to add a piece to build their Jack-O'-Lantern. The first K–5 classroom to fully assemble their Jack-O'-Lantern wins a fantastic prize!

Good evening Longhorn Families~

This is Mrs. Martindale, your proud school principal. Welcome to another week of exciting adventures at Goodnight! As our student explorers continue traveling around the world in their learning journeys this year, we want to share a few important updates to keep our school trip running smoothly:

Morning Drop-Off Time: To ensure student safety, students should not be dropped off prior to 7:40 AM each morning. Safe traveling begins when our supervision team is on duty at 7:40 AM!
Parking Reminder: When dropping off your young travelers, please refrain from parking in the staff parking lot. Keeping this area clear ensures our staff can arrive safely and helps maintain a smooth traffic flow for everyone.
Dress for the Journey: The weather is shifting! Please ensure your child is dressed for changing temperatures and brings or wears a jacket for outdoor recess.
PTO Snack Sale: Pack a little extra fuel for the journey! Our PTO will be selling $1 snacks after school this Thursday. Stop by to support our school and grab a treat on your way home.

Our school carnival was a huge success! A special thank you to our wonderful PTO for their incredible hard work, dedication, and countless hours spent making this event unforgettable for our students and families.

🍂 What an incredible night! This year’s Fall Carnival was an absolute huge success! 🎡✨

It was so much fun seeing everyone decked out in their favorite football jerseys and cozy flannel, and watching our Longhorns have the best time ever.

Events like this don’t just happen, they take an incredible amount of hard work. A massive THANK YOU to our amazing PTO! You are truly the best in town, and we are so grateful for your dedication to making sure our Longhorns love school and create the best memories. 🧡🖤

Carnival Basket Donations: Submit all donations to our PTO by Wednesday the 23rd.

Believe Fundraiser: Gear up over the weekend to gather orders. Our world travelers can still win some great prizes.

PTO Fuel Station: A $1 snack sale will take place right after school this Thursday to keep our travelers fully energized.
