Congratulations to our advanced drama students for being named the Best Overall One Act this year at the Southern Colorado High School One Act Play Festival! (This win breaks a three year runner up streak!) Their production of Jonathan Rand’s “How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying” was directed by senior Elliet Johnson, assisted by senior Jackson Dilka. They were honored for their direction with a Best Student Director award! Junior, Giuliana Blea was honored as a rising star, AND we were awarded Best Featured Ensemble for the actors playing “agents.” Thanks so much to pueblo west high school for hosting this year! We had a great time seeing everyone’s awesome work!

Auditions for next year are fast approaching!
Audition submissions for the Advanced Drama Class (Production & Communication) are already coming in! This class acts as our Arts Academy theatre troupe! Please prepare a 1 - 2 minute contemporary monologue (memorized). Then submit a video of your performance to Ms. Hoffmann [email protected] no later than APRIL 23. Late submissions will not be accepted. Open to all high school grade levels including incoming freshmen. Feel free to reach out with questions!
Then we will have in person auditions for the fall play, William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. This exciting production will be performed November 12 - 15, 2026. Auditions are open to all high school grade levels including incoming freshmen. Auditions are May 13, 2026 at 3:45pm - 7pm at the County High School theater. Please prepare and memorize a 1 - 2 minute comedic Shakespearean monologue. There will also be a short Shakespeare summer camp June 15 - 18 to help cast members prepare.
