It was so wonderful to honor and celebrate Ms. Urenda and Mrs. Rose as our teacher and staff of the year. The Beulah Heights staff and students are so lucky to work with these two amazing women!

"Well, I always love a murder mystery. Always a fun read trying to figure out the 'who done it.' With a title like this, I guess I’m trying to learn how not to end up on ‘Dateline.’ Happy wife, happy life!”

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕?
“Reading is an access point to your interests. Whether it’s joining a fantasy world, solving a mystery, adventuring to new lands, or just learning interesting facts.”

Sam Gallegos, an ESS teacher, is also a longtime professional Native American dancer and singer. As November is Native American Heritage Month, Sam and the Thundering Earth Singers – Kierra Duran and Chief Jarrett James Jealous of Him of the Oglala Sioux Tribe – shared with the Panthers historical tidbits about Native Americans and the spirituality connected to dance and song.

After a dance and performance of "I Live, You Live, We Live a Good Life," Mr. Gallegos led the Panthers in several dances designed to reinforce the unity and connectedness of the human race.
