It was so wonderful to honor and celebrate Ms. Urenda and Mrs. Rose as our teacher and staff of the year. The Beulah Heights staff and students are so lucky to work with these two amazing women!

Sam Gallegos, an ESS teacher, is also a longtime professional Native American dancer and singer. As November is Native American Heritage Month, Sam and the Thundering Earth Singers β Kierra Duran and Chief Jarrett James Jealous of Him of the Oglala Sioux Tribe β shared with the Panthers historical tidbits about Native Americans and the spirituality connected to dance and song.
After a dance and performance of "I Live, You Live, We Live a Good Life," Mr. Gallegos led the Panthers in several dances designed to reinforce the unity and connectedness of the human race.
