Junior Joel Vazquez (165) has been invited to participate in the boxing competition of the Junior Olympics, to be held later this month in Wichita. Joel has been coached by Andrew Marquez -- of Marquez Boxing -- for the past four years.

Congratulations to Ava Andrada, who has committed to attend Arizona Christian University (Glendale) and compete in tennis on scholarship. She is a multi-time state qualifier.

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩
254 strong, the East Class of 2026 entered a golden future after accepting the fruits of hard work and commitment at the Southwest Motors Events Center.

East – owners of the 2026 Lamp of Knowledge -- is led by top scholar Cory “The Human Calculator” Lucero, with Zeniah Trujillo also was recognized as a top scholar.

Twenty five Eagles graduated with the top-tier Summa Cum League: Distinction honors, with 20 earning Summa Cum Laude with Honors and 12 leaving as Summa Cum Laude with Merit scholars.

Nearly 75 members of the Class of 2026 earned at least one scholarship, with a collective total of $2.5 million awarded. Additionally, eight left East with professional certificates and four Eagles will serve in the military.
