Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, faith, courage, and the countless men and women who have helped shape our nation.

As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, let us give thanks to God for the blessings of liberty and pray for our country, its leaders, and all who serve to protect our freedoms.

On June 29, 2026, the devastating Aspen Acres Fire swept through the Beulah Valley, causing unimaginable loss. Among those heavily impacted is our dear friend, neighbor, and beloved teacher, Marilyn Wren, and her family. In a matter of hours, they tragically lost the home they have loved, cared for, and resided in for 36 years.

For nearly four decades, Marilyn has been the beating heart of our community. She has given so much of her life to others, especially through her dedicated service to our local Catholic school. Marilyn has a heart of gold, always putting her family, friends, students, and parish first.

This Father’s Day, we give thanks for all fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and the clergy who faithfully guide and serve our communities.

Like St. Joseph, who lovingly protected and provided for the Holy Family, fathers today answer God’s call to nurture, lead, and sacrifice for those entrusted to their care. We also extend our gratitude to our priests, whose spiritual fatherhood strengthens our faith and draws us closer to Christ.

Today we celebrate the men who choose life, embrace their vocation with courage, and reflect God’s love through their service to family, Church, and community.

May St. Joseph, patron of fathers and families, continue to inspire and guide all who are called to fatherhood.
