TIME RUNNING OUT TO APPLY FOR BENEFITS
Pandemic-EBT provides your family with funds to help buy food when schools were remote or hybrid due to COVID-19. You can receive up to $136.40 per school month for each eligible remote learner, or up to $81.84 per school month for each eligible hybrid learner to stretch your food budget.

But the deadline to apply for these benefits is Wednesday, June 30.

A student is eligible if they:
• Attended a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program and
• Are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school; and
• Attended a school with a "remote" or "hybrid" learning model for at least one month this school year or opted for remote learning by October 1, 2020, and continued learning remotely until at least March 31, 2021.

There is no separate application for P-EBT for the 2020-2021 school year, but students do need to be eligible for free or reduced-price meals to qualify for P-EBT.

If your household received SNAP and your student(s) are eligible, your P-EBT benefit will be automatically loaded onto your current EBT card that you already have starting in late May.

Applications can be obtained and filled out at 1902 Montuzema Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

D60 EDUCATORS TO RECEIVE SALARY INCREASE OF 10 PERCENT OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS 06/09/2021

EDUCATORS TO RECEIVE 10 PERCENT INCREASE OVER 2 YEARS
After a series of highly productive negotiations throughout the Spring, Pueblo School District 60 and the Pueblo Education Association teachers union have reached a tentative full and total 2-year agreement that includes a significant compensation increase for educators.

As a first for the District, this 2-year agreement gives educators a 5.2 percent salary increase and elevates the District’s educator salary range to $39,140 to $86,059 for 2021-2022.

The second year of this agreement gives educators a 4.8% salary increase and elevates the District’s educator salary range to $40,157 to $88,296.

“We are so excited to be able to offer this financial package to show our appreciation to our educators after such a difficult, unprecedented year,” said Eric DeCesaro, Executive Director of Human Resources. “For our much appreciated educators, this represents a salary increase of 10 percent over the next two years.”

These salary increases will also keep D60 competitive with school districts in our region, allowing D60 to better recruit and retain the best teachers for our community.

The agreement is expected to be voted upon by the Association membership and formally approved by the D60 Board of Education.
