Hello Baca Families,
We made it to the FINAL week of the school year! We have wonderful graduations and end of year assemblies planned. Thank you parents/families for a great school year. We appreciate all your support.

D60 is offering summer school at Baca this summer. June 15th- June 30th for students in Kinder 1st & 2nd Grade. If your student needs extra support please speak to the classroom teacher and about your student attending summer school. There will be NO TRANSPORTATION for summer school. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Please submit permission slips for summer school as soon as possible.
Please note all school supplies will be purchased for ALL students for next school year with Title I funds. Our Back to School Night will be September 23rd and we will have the IN-N-OUT Burger Truck.

El Distrito Escolar D60 ofrece clases de verano en Baca este verano, del 15 al 30 de junio, para estudiantes de kínder, 1.º y 2.º grado. Si su hijo/a necesita apoyo adicional, hable con el/la maestro/a de su clase sobre la posibilidad de que asista a las clases de verano. No habrá transporte para las clases de verano. Se servirán desayuno y almuerzo. Por favor, entregue los formularios de autorización para las clases de verano lo antes posible.
Tenga en cuenta que todos los útiles escolares para TODOS los estudiantes del próximo año escolar se comprarán con fondos del Título I. Nuestra Noche de Regreso a Clases será el 23 de septiembre y contaremos con el camión de hamburguesas IN-N-OUT.

Hello Baca Families,
We apologize for any inconvenience; however, we were recently informed that the yearbooks purchased online were not shipped with the rest of the yearbook order. As a result, students who ordered their yearbook online will receive their copies at a later date once they arrive.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will notify families as soon as the remaining yearbooks are delivered to the school.

Another wonderful day of learning at Baca Elementary!
Our third grade students had a very special visit from Alex O’Brien, meteorologist from KOAA Channel 5 News. Students learned all about meteorology and weather while also having the opportunity to share their own weather projects and models. We are so proud of the hard work and creativity our students demonstrated!
We also welcomed the Pueblo Punishers to Baca! Our students learned about their football program and an upcoming football camp taking place on Saturday, May 16 at East High School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The camp is open to students ages 6–16, with a cost of $75.
To top it all off, the players spent time outside playing with our students in the park, creating smiles, excitement, and wonderful memories for everyone involved. Thank you to our special visitors for making learning fun and engaging for our students!

What a truly special day it was at Baca Elementary! We were absolutely thrilled to welcome back some of our incredible former Roadrunners, now proud members of the graduating Class of 2026. It filled our hearts to see how much they've grown and to hear all about the amazing futures they're building. They even had a chance to reconnect with their favorite former teachers, sharing hugs and memories. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Congratulations, graduates, we are so incredibly proud of you!
