Parents as you are preparing for Halloween, please keep in mind that all costumes must be appropriate for school. Nothing to bloody or gory and NO WEAPONS! All treats must be store bought.

Parents please make sure your children know their after school routine. If there's a change in schedule please try to contact the office NO LATER than 2:45 pm

Please make sure your child has a water bottle each day.

The office will be selling suckers for $1.00 and Candy Bars which are now $2.00.

October 15th students will have individual pictures. All students will take their pictures for the yearbook. Order forms will go home Thursday, October 8th. Happy National Custodian Day to our AMAZING custodial staff! 💛

We are so grateful for everything our custodians do each and every day to make our school shine! They truly make our school sparkle, but their impact goes far beyond keeping our building clean.

Our custodians are committed, kind, hardworking, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. They build meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families, greet everyone with a smile, help keep our school safe, prepare spaces for special events, take care of countless behind-the-scenes needs, and somehow always seem to be there when we need them most.

They take tremendous pride in our school and help create a welcoming, comfortable place where students can learn and staff can do their best work. Our school simply would not be the same without them!

Thank you for your dedication, your positive attitudes, your big hearts, and for all the little things you do that often go unnoticed. We appreciate you more than you know!

Congratulations 5th grade they won the spirit link competition and will be attending the Main Cannon Assembly with the high school students tomorrow.

Also parents, please remember tomorrow, Thursday, October 1 is COUNT DAY!! We need all students in attendance. This is a very important day. This is how our schools receive their school funding.

GOLD DAY!! Wear your GOLD, tomorrow September 29th! Grades 3,4 &5 won the spirit link competition at Baca so they will be attending the mini Cannon Assembly tomorrow at East High School. The bus will leave at 9:45 AM and we will be back to school by 11. Make sure your student is on time. 
The competition is not over. Now it’s Baca versus Franklin. We will find out Wednesday which school WINS and gets to attend the main Cannon Assembly with the high school students on Thursday, October 1.

Hello Baca Families!

THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING SCHOOL COMMUNITY FOR THE EXCELLENT TURN OUT FOR OUR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT. WE ENJOYED SEEING YOU ALL.

Monday is PIZZA DAY for lunch. If students would like an additional slice of pizza the cost is $1.50.

SPIRIT LINK COMPETITION for the Cannon Game. Each link is .25 cents. The top three classes that have the most links will win a field trip to EAST HIGH SCHOOL for the “mini” Cannon Assembly on Tuesday, September 30th. BRING IN YOUR QUARTERS!! As a school we will also be in competition with Franklin Elementary School. The winning elementary school with the most links gets to take their 5th grade class to the high school main Cannon Assembly on Thursday, October 1st. Students can in their spirit link money to their classroom teachers.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH- WEAR GOLD DAY

Tuesday, Ms. Lawson will have a STEM CLUB from 3:15-4:00 pm. This is for students interested in competing in the District STEM Fair.

Hello Baca Families!

We are so PROUD to announce and celebrate with our students that BACA is once again a PERFORMANCE school. We obtained the highest score ever. We had the highest growth score in ELA in the entire district. The ratings are from the Colorado Department of Education. OUR STUDENTS EXPLODED THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND WERE THE BOMB ON CMAS!! We will celebrate with our kiddos this week.

We have celebrated nine years of a PERFORMANCE rating! Making Baca Elementary one of the BEST elementary schools in our city!

Wednesday, September 23rd- 3rd Grade will be going to the Song of Pueblo. We ask that students dress up and look nice and we want ALL students on their best behavior. The bus will leave at 8;40 am, so please make sure your student is on time.

Wednesday is OUR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT!! We are so excited to have you visit our school, see your child’s classroom ,meet our teachers and see all the wonderful things your students are doing and learning each day. Also the IN N OUT Burger Truck will be at Baca. Students last name A-M will visit the food truck first from 5:00-5:45. Students' last name N-Z will visit the classrooms first. After you get your food the cafeteria will be open so you can sit down and eat your burger. At approximately 5:45 we will switch. We will also have raffle baskets in the front lobby. You can purchase raffle tickets for $1.00.

Estamos muy ORGULLOSOS de anunciar y celebrar con nuestros estudiantes que BACA es, una vez más, una escuela de ALTO RENDIMIENTO. Obtuvimos la puntuación más alta de nuestra historia. Tuvimos el mayor crecimiento en ELA en todo el distrito. Las calificaciones son del Departamento de Educación de Colorado. ¡NUESTROS ESTUDIANTES DEMOSTRARON UN CONOCIMIENTO EXTRAORDINARIO Y FUERON ESPECTACULARES EN CMAS! Lo celebraremos con nuestros chicos esta semana.

Miércoles 23 de septiembre: Los alumnos de tercer grado asistirán al evento Song of Pueblo. Les pedimos que se vistan elegantes y que se comporten de la mejor manera. El autobús saldrá a las 8:40 a. m., así que asegúrense de que su hijo/a llegue a tiempo.

¡El miércoles es NUESTRA NOCHE DE REGRESO A CLASES! Estamos muy emocionados de que nos visiten, vean el salón de clases de su hijo/a, conozcan a nuestros maestros y vean todas las cosas maravillosas que sus estudiantes hacen y aprenden cada día. También el camión de IN N OUT Burger estará en Baca. Los estudiantes cuyos apellidos comiencen con las letras A a la M visitarán primero el camión de comida de 5:00 a 5:45. Los estudiantes cuyos apellidos comiencen con las letras N a la Z visitarán primero las aulas. Después de que recojan su comida, la cafetería estará abierta para que puedan sentarse y comer su hamburguesa. Aproximadamente a las 5:45 cambiaremos.
