Shout out to all the participants and staff involved in last week's Summer Business Academy!
The Summer Business Academy is a partnership between CSU Pueblo and District 70. Twenty 8th grade graduating students from D70 middle schools come to learn how to prepare a business plan and then present their ideas in front of judges.
Last week these students had the opportunity to visit TR Toppers, and then showcased their final presentations on Friday at the Hasan School of Business. The presentations were impressive, and were an excellent representation of what the youth of Pueblo is capable of.

The Hasan School of Business wants to congratulate two of our HSB students, Evan Smith and Arielle Collins, for winning two highly prestigious awards at our university. π
The Threlkeld Award for Excellence, won by Evan Smith, is an award presented annually to a student who demonstrates exceptional academic achievement and a strong commitment to service both on campus and in the broader community.
Evan Smith exclaims, " I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the Threlkeld Award for Excellence. This award represents so much more than individual achievement; it reflects the support, mentorship, and belief that so many people at CSU-Pueblo poured into me. I am forever proud and grateful to be a Thunderwolf!"
The Homer and Diane Blackwell President's Leadership Award, won by Arielle Collins, is an award presented to a student who excelled as a leader with a distinguished record of extraordinary leadership, service, spirit, advocacy, and involvement within the University community.
Arielle Collins exclaims, "Receiving the Blackwell Award is incredibly meaningful because it reflects the collaborative leadership and community-building work that has defined my time here at CSUP. I'm grateful to have contributed to spaces that support connection, representation, and opportunity for future students."
