Reminder to get your entries in for our SCHA Show on Saturday, at Diamond J Arena in the big indoor arena. We have something for everyone! Gymkhana, Leadline, Western, including Walk Trot, Ranch & Cattle Classes. And 5 different age divisions!! Plus.... have you seen our year end awards? Saddles, Buckles, Tack, etc.... We have some of the best prizes in the area!!

Our first roping of the season is this Sunday!! Join us at Diamond J Arena! We offer Breakaway, Steer Daubing & Team Roping!! We also offer practice after the event! This year we are offering "Payback" - so come have some fun and earn some money back!
To get to the roping arena, you will come through the main road, go past the horse statue, then you will see a road going to the right, this road has a "dip", so if your trailer is close, don't turn there, and keep going, and take the further road to the right around. Either way will take you to the roping arena! Which is on the northwestern part of the property.

Our Show Registration is now open! Join us for our first show of the season, this Saturday, May 30th at Diamond J (Indoor Arena). Patterns will be shared by Thursday :) We have Gymkhana, Lead Line, Western & Walk Trot Western, Ranch with 2 cattle Classes.

Saturday is our Royalty Clinic - which is open to anyone wanting to learn about Royalty Competitions, from carrying the flag, the "Queen Wave", Horsemanship, Interviews and makeup, wardrobes for the different events, etc... This is free and we have some amazing, qualified clinicians to prepare you!!!
Then, on Sunday is our SCHA Royalty Contest, which is open to current and non members (you will need to become a member if you become a part of the Royalty) Please reach out if you have any questions!

SCHA is preparing for our Royalty Pageant and we are offering a Royalty Clinic, that is open to the public!! We have amazing clinicians coming to help prepare you for Royalty!! Our Clinic will be held on Saturday, April 25th and our Royalty Pageant will be Saturday, April 25th. (You do not need to attend the clinic to compete in the pageant. And you can attend the clinic and not compete in our pageant) Thank you to Diamand J for teaming up with SCHA to offer this to our horse community and future Royalty Queens and Princesses!! Happy New Year and New Board!! We had our Board/Member Meeting on Jan. 20th and we have our nominations in for our board members and would like to introduce them to you. Some positions will be filled at our next work session, but we are excited for these new members!!
Our returning board members are: Pauli Boyd, who is the incoming President, Theresa Stevens will continue to serve as Treasurer, and Ammie Thomas, who is our outgoing President.
Our new board members are: Michelle Moreland, Jeanna Blasingame-Korte, Beth Hayes and Tammy Sciumbato-Provost.
We are looking forward to a great year!!! And an awesome Show & Roping Season!!

Attention all SCHA Members -tonight is our Board Meeting (Tuesday, January 20th) at the Barkman (Belmont) Library, beginning at 6 pm. At our December meeting we had board nominations for our 2 openings. Voting will be held tonight. Nominations are: Barbara Donahue and Michelle Moreland. Barbara has been involved with SCHA for many years, supporting 2 of her daughters and grandchildren as they have been competing at our shows. Barbara is a great cheerleader and brings experience to help us with records, office duties and paperwork.
Michelle has competed for a few years at our SCHA Shows, and her family has been a Business Sponsor of SCHA for quite a few years, and her Dad even competed in SCHA when he was younger. Michelle is looking forward to bringing her business knowledge to our board.
We are looking forward to a great year ahead and hope as many people as possible will be at our meeting tonight. Our board will also be sending out an email to all active SCHA members asking for votes as well.
