"Attempted kidnapping - west side
Yesterday, around 6:00pm a man attempted to grab a 12 year old girl walking her dog down the sidewalk on our street. The little girl lives on another street but we all feel angry that something like that happened on our block and we feel a sense of responsibility for any child in our midst. The man has yet to be caught.
We are going to get all the neighborhood kids together and go over safety… how to scream, who to run to, etc. We live in what we believe is a safe neighborhood and it shakes me that someone would come onto our block and shatter our kid’s sense of safety.
Does anyone know of a kids self defense class in town or know of anyone who might come teach it to the kids on our block (we’ll include kids from the surrounding blocks as well).

This happened on Cooper Avenue near Harrison Street. The suspect was on foot. He’s about 5’6, thin built, Hispanic male. I’ll add the video to the comments as well."
