His dedication and hard work has paid off. Congratulations to Paul Cleveland who just earned his 1st Degree Black Belt.
Well done, Sir!

Fullen's School of Self Defense is operating in Pueblo West, CO. under the name of Southern Colorado Kajukenbo. I have a small number of students who come for private or semi-private lessons.
In the very near future I will be dropping the name 'Southern Colorado Kajukenbo' and staying with FSSD (partly because Facebook and I just can't seem to coordinate). Nothing else will change.
More to come.

It's rather obvious that I don't check this page very often (blame my semi-retirement if you want), but I have up-dated my email address. I can now be reached at;
[email protected]
I'm still offering private, semi-private, and small group lessons in my home. Times to be negotiated.

I'm done with hiding from the COVID-19 boogeyman so private, semi-private, and small group classes will start again after Memorial Day.

There will be a couple of provisos in place... primarily safe hygiene practices commonly recommended during flu seasons;

* If you have a case of the sniffles or feel feverish please stay home and get well. You can always make up a missed class or two later.

* You may wear a mask if you so desire. Just be aware that it will restrict your air intake.

* Please wash your face and hands before class. If you have to touch your eyes, mouth, or nose during class there will be tissues and hand sanitizer available in the training area.

The emergence of the coronavirus has affected nearly every aspect of our lives and daily routines... and will probably continue to do so for some while yet. I've let my students know that classes are cancelled until further notice, but urged them to continue practicing and exercising because this too shall pass.
Stay strong, care for your loved ones, and we'll get through this together.
Oss!

Finally settled in (enough) here in Pueblo West and have cleared space in my garage to teach semi-private and small groups. I've gotten some positive response from a couple of people who may start training and I've got the time to be flexible on schedules. So if you are interested in training, or know someone who is, email me at [email protected] or contact me through this Facebook site.

I have now relocated to Pueblo West in Colorado and I want to thank all my family and friends and my Kajukenbo Ohana for their help and support in this endeavor.
It will take a couple more weeks to get things somewhat settled, but I will soon start seeking a new venue in which to continue one of my life's greater passions... sharing my explorations of the martial arts.
Mahalo.

It's a long day's driving from Dallas to Austin and back, but good people and good training make it all worth while. Thanks to Sigung Tony Morel and his students.

The school in Dallas is no longer open. Classes have been cancelled. At some point in the future - once I've settled in to a new location - training opportunities will resume in Colorado.

It's the end of this phase, but it's not the end. Not yet.

Next month I turn 66 and I'm retiring from the job I've been working at for 23 years. And I want to move back to Colorado to spend time with my kids and my grandkids while I still have some time.

It was twenty four years ago that I moved to Dallas and began teaching Chinese Kempo/Kajukenbo. During that time I have met, trained, trained under and trained with many outstanding martial artists and exceptional people.
So it is with mixed emotions that I have announced the closing of my martial arts school here in Dallas.
I'm looking forward to being close to my family in Colorado, but it saddens me to be moving away from the many students, friends, and family that I've made here.
I hope the next phase of my life will be as rewarding as this phase has been - and from the bottom of my heart I thank you all for being a part of it.

Mahalo,

David
