Greetings from Mrs. Fleming, LECC School Counselor. Today our word is Gratitude—Being THANKFUL! I am Thankful for having the opportunity to work in the Pryor Schools and to be at the LECC with my students who I LOVE!!! View on Utube “Thankful” by The Juicebox Jukebox. It is a beautiful video defining things for which we can be thankful. After viewing, have your children name or list three things for which they are thankful. You may want to start a daily list. For an Art activity, the children could draw a picture. My grandson shared his list of being thankful for his family and for Truck Drivers. His Art project was to draw a picture. He then traced the words I had written for him. While taking him to meet his parents, he would hold the sign up to the window. He felt so proud thinking the truckers could see it. (They were focused on the road.) When we stopped, a trucker saw his sign and said, “Thank You.” I am thankful for living in the USA and the many freedoms I have, for my family, my health and my LECC family.

We are an Early Childhood Facility dedicated to educating Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Leaders.

Tie shoe’s already?!

Sophie and Hudson, pre-k students in Mrs. Siever and Ms. Curnutt’s classes, both showed they could tie their shoes. So proud of them both! When I asked Sophie who taught her how to tie, she replied, “My mom and dad and grandma.” This struck a chord with me, that it took the continued effort of different persons to teach and reinforce the shoe tying procedure for Sophie and probably Hudson as well, to accomplish the task.
I hope each of us will consider this-How much could we accomplish if we collected our efforts to help our children pursue their goals (or ours actually that we know are important for the children)? Time really matters.
