Please help advertise for the Walk 4 Hope, a su***de prevention and awareness event that has become very close to my heart. I hate the way I became involved. But I'm so grateful to have found friends and resources who've helped me along this path. Everyone will be affected by su***de at some point in their life.

Welcome to Preschool! Please remember to write names on everything you bring. The kids need a backpack, water bottle, and ziploc with extra clothes for accidents, etc.

Book orders are due by Wednesday, September 16. You can order online at Scholastic.com with our classroom code: DNXV9, or you can give them to me to process.

Just a reminder the brown bags coming home have the letter of the week written on them. They are to be brought back with something that starts with that letter for show and tell.

I write the kids’ names in highlighter, and encourage them to trace over it until they can write their own names.

Johnny Appleseed parties are on the 24th and 25th. Please send 12 small apple treats for the kids to share. Anything simple is great ie apple slices, mini muffins, apple flavored candy, etc.

The front door is always unlocked and kiddos are welcome to walk in, remove shoes and place backpacks in cubbies. I take them out together at the end of class.

Our first field trip will be coming up on Thursday, October 8th. Parents are always invited to attend. We carpool.

Favorite Color days are Monday and Tuesday the 11th and 12th. The kids are encouraged to wear their favorite color.

Our last field trip is on Monday, May 18th to Pioneer Village at the park on 5th North and 5th West in Provo. We have a reservation at 10am. (If you will not be going, please contact me). Our Teddy Bear Picnic will be after.

Preschool Graduation Celebrations are Wednesday, May 20th at noon for the 2 day kiddos, and 1:00 for the 3 day kiddos. Each session will last for 45 minutes. It’s in the Attic at Provo Library at Academy Square. All are invited. (Park underground near the yellow “Academy Entrance” sign, take the west elevator to the 4th floor for the Attic.)

Please send any pics you’ve taken at field trips for our end of the year slide show. Deadline is Fri, May 8th. Also, I need 3 sentences about your child, ASAP. They can be what your child learned, what they want to be when grown up, favorite things, etc.

For all those enrolling their children in Kindergarten in Provo School District, there is an Open House on Friday, April 17th. The various schools they will behaving a “meet and greet” so families can come see classrooms and make decisions about kinder. Attached is the schedule for each elementary school in the district.
