Tunnel Singing is a BYU tradition. It began in 1989 by a small group of friends. Tunnel Singing is an opportunity to gather together with others and sing hymns. It is held every Sunday night at 10:00 pm, year-round, in the tunnel just south of the Marriott Center. Tunnel Singing is led by students. As students go on missions, graduate, or become more busy, the opportunity to lead is passed on to o

See you all tonight! We'll be singing "Consider the Lilies".

1. Consider the lilies of the field,
How they grow, how they grow.
Consider the birds in the sky,
How they fly, how they fly.

He clothes the lilies of the field.
He feeds the birds in the sky.
And He will feed those who trust Him,
And guide them with His eye.

2. Consider the sheep of His fold,
How they follow where He leads.
Though the path may wind across the mountains,
He knows the meadows where they feed.

He clothes the lilies of the field.
He feeds the birds in the sky,
And He will feed those who trust Him,
And guide them with His eye.

3. Consider the sweet, tender children
Who must suffer on this earth.
The pains of all of them He carried
From the day of His birth.

He clothes the lilies of the field,
He feeds the lambs in His fold,
And He will heal those who trust Him,
And make their hearts as gold.

Hoy, cantarémos el himno 'Campana sobre campana'. ¡Nos vemos pronto!

(Verse 1)
Campana sobre campana
Y sobre campana una
Asómate a la ventana
Verás el Niño en la cuna

(Bridge)
Belén, campanas de Belén
Que los ángeles tocan
¿Qué nuevas me traéis?

(Verse 1 Cont.)
Recogido tu rebaño
¿A dónde vas, pastorcillo?
Voy a llevar al portal
Requesón, manteca y vino

(Chorus)
Belén, campanas de Belén
Que los ángeles tocan
¿Qué nuevas me traéis?

(Verse 2)
Campana sobre campana,
y sobre campana, dos,
asómate a la ventana
y verás al Niño Dios.

(BRIDGE)

(Verse 2 Cont.)
Caminando a media noche
¿donde caminas pastor?
Le llevo al Niño que nace
como a Dios mi corazón

(CHORUS)

(Verse 3)
Campana sobre campana
y sobre campana tres,
en una cuna a esta hora
acaba Jesús de nacer.

(BRIDGE)

(Verse 3 Cont.)
Si aún las estrellas alumbran,
pastor ¿donde quieres ir?
voy al portal por si el Niño
con El me deja morir

(CHORUS)

Merry Christmas! We'll be singing God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen tonight. 🎄
We will not be holding Tunnel Singing on the 24th or 31st.

1. God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
let nothing you dismay,
for Jesus Christ our Savior
was born on Christmas Day
to save us all from Satan's pow'r
when we were gone astray.

Refrain:
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy.

2. In Bethlehem in Israel
this blessed babe was born,
and laid within a manger
upon this happy morn:
for which His mother Mary
did nothing take in scorn.

Refrain

3. From God our Heav'nly Father
a blessed angel came,
and unto certain shepherds
brought tidings of the same,
how that in Bethlehem was born
the Son of God by name.

Refrain

4. And when they came to Bethlehem,
where our dear Savior lay,
they found Him in a manger,
where oxen feed on hay.
His mother, Mary, kneeling down
unto the Lord did pray.

Refrain

5. Now to the Lord sing praises
all you within this place,
and with true love and brotherhood
each other now embrace;
this holy tide of Christmas
is filled with heav'nly grace.

Refrain

Merry Christmas! Tonight we'll be singing O Come, O Come, Emmanuel!

1. O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.

Refrain
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.

2. O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory o'er the grave.

Refrain

3. O come, Thou Dayspring from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death's dark shadows put to flight.

Refrain

4. O come, O come, great Lord of might,
who to Thy tribes on Sinai's height
in ancient times didst give the law,
in cloud and majesty and awe.

Refrain

5. O Come, O King of Nations, bind
in one the hearts of all mankind.
Bid Thou our sad divisions cease,
and be Thyself our King of Peace.

Refrain

It's Christmas time! We'll be singing lots of Christmas songs, including "What Child Is This?"

1 What Child is this, who, laid to rest,
On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ, the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
the Babe, the Son of Mary!

2 Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christian, fear: for sinners here
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear, shall pierce Him through;
The cross be borne for me, for you.
Hail, hail, the Word made flesh,
the babe, the Son of Mary!

3 So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh,
Come, peasant, king to own Him.
The King of kings salvation brings;
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Praise, praise the Son on high.
The virgin sings her lullaby.
Joy, joy for Christ is born,
the babe, the Son of Mary!

Hoy, cantarémos el himno "¡Grande eres Tú!", traducido del inglés "How Great Thou Art!". ¡Nos vemos pronto!

1. Señor, mi Dios, al contemplar los cielos,
el firmamento y las estrellas mil;
al oír tu voz en los potentes truenos
y ver brillar el sol en su cenit;
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!

2. Al recorrer los montes y los valles
y ver las bellas flores al pasar;
al escuchar el canto de las aves
y el murmurar del claro manantial;
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!

3. Al recordar el gran amor del Padre
que desde el cielo al Salvador envió,
aquel Jesús que por salvarme vino
y en la cruz por mí sufrió y murió;
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!

4. Y cuando Dios me llame a Su presencia,
al dulce hogar, al cielo de esplendor,
le adoraré cantando la grandeza
de Su poder y Su infinito amor;
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!
Mi alma canta a mi Señor y Dios:
¡Grande eres Tú! ¡Grande eres Tú!

Tonight we'll be singing Be Still My Soul.

Be still, my soul: The Lord is on thy side;
With patience bear thy cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In ev’ry change he faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: Thy best, thy heav’nly Friend
Thru thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as he has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.

Be still, my soul: The hour is hast’ning on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: When change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Welcome back everyone!!! We will see you tonight at 10pm! We'll be singing This Is the Christ.

They heard His voice, a voice so mild
It pierced them through and made their souls to quake
They saw Him come, a man in white
The Savior who had suffered for their sake
They felt the wounds in hands and side
And each could testify; This is the Christ

This is the Christ, the holy Son of God
Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind
This is the Christ, the healer of our souls
Who ransomed us with love divine

I read His words, the words He prayed
While bearing sorrow in Gethsemane
I feel His love, the price He paid
How many drops of blood were spilled for me?
With saints of old in joyful cry
I too can testify; This is the Christ

This is the Christ, the holy Son of God
Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind
This is the Christ, the healer of our souls
Who ransomed us with purest love divine!

Who ransomed us with purest love divine
