Ultimately, effective diplomacy involves listening constantly—no matter how hard—and synthesizing a group consensus that is inclusive of many perspectives. Difficult delegates exist and managing conflict becomes necessary. BYU delegates love to “moderate and unify” and work very hard at to practice diplomacy.

What do you do when you need to make a new AI policy for your class? Well, we kicked off the new semester by having our student-delegates write it themselves!
They collaborated and compromised with each other to develop standards for AI usage for Model UN this semester- and got some good diplomacy practice in at the same time :)
