We enjoyed teaching the Hurricane Valley Fire District in an extrication class all week. The class was well-received and the students were excited and eager to learn and do the work. The class included vehicles like buses, cars, and trucks as well as some discussion on EV’s.

Great message from Jensen Fire Department. May is Mental Health Awareness month.

As leaders we should set the environment of our departments.
Make it a workplace where our people feel valued and respected so if an issue should ever arise for them they feel comfortable speaking up.
More so, we should NOT be adding to their stress load with how we act and behave. 'Ego eats culture'.

Remember: leaders emerge long before a title is - or even ever - placed. No matter your standing or placement you can make positive changes up and down the 'Chain of Command'. Use your influence for the betterment of your department.
