Learning goes beyond the classroom for our MOT Bridge students.
During July's Intensive Learning Week, students learned from guest lecturer Rita Knesel, MSOT, OTR/L, who introduced her developing occupational therapy frame of reference, ReBOPP, for supporting individuals recovering from stroke and other upper motor neuron syndromes.
From hands-on labs to meaningful discussions, students explored new approaches to motor recovery and critical thinking, and learned how occupational therapists help people regain independence through everyday activities. Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field while building the skills they'll bring into clinical practice.
