Just a few takeaways from our Alumni Panel during our Career Bootcamp yesterday:
Your dream isn’t a job
Never stop shooting for the stars
See where it takes you
You’re never stuck
More life experience expands your dream
The easiest way to exclude yourself is to never apply
You have more potential than you realize
You know enough, you are enough
You’re doing far better than you think you are
We are “good at humans”, and humans are still making decisions
Informational interviews will give you the language to help make a pivot
Work to actively build other people up
Being someone other people can rely on builds social capital
You don’t need to know everything
Changing careers is common, meaning it can be done
Follow the Spirit
What’s important to you will change over time
Out of school treat your first job as a grad program: an opportunity for learning rather than expecting it to be your dream job
Take it to the Lord
Seek God’s counsel and follow it
