ORCA is offering free grant-writing workshops (Varsity Theatre, WSC) on September 25th and 26th (next Wednesday and Thursday) at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Past ORCA awardees have emphasized the importance of these workshops in their success. Please encourage your students to take advantage of this opportunity and increase their chances of getting $1,500 for a mentored-learning project!

Science Fair - at least 6 judges are needed!!
Dec 6 (Thur) 2:45-6pm, Lehi, UT
Judges will receive a brief training at the beginning of the fair and will also be given pizza. These science fairs are a lot of fun so if you have time we encourage you to go. We will try to arrange a carpool out to the science fair and back so that only 1 or 2 drivers will be needed. Please email us back if you would like to participate and if you are willing to drive.

3rd Annual Nerd Entropy Dance
(Friday, 11/30, 8-10pm, BNSN Fishbowl)
This is one of the funnest events of the year so we hope you will all put on your best nerd outfits and come enjoy the dance. There will be a DJ, dancing, refreshments and prizes for best nerd outfits and best chemistry professor look alike. We look forward to seeing all of you looking your nerdiest at the dance. And if you can't dance, remember, you don't have to know how to dance to make entropy so come anyways!

National Chemistry Week is coming upon us. We need your help making and selling liquid nitrogen ice-cream. Please fill out the attached google spreadsheet with times that work best for you. No previous experience is needed!

Remember:
You get 1 cup of free ice-cream with every shift
You get an original Y-CHEM t-shirt after the completion of 2 shifts
Its easy, fun, helpful and a valuable life skill!!!
We need at least one person with a food handlers permit per shift (http://www.statefoodsafety.com/food-handler/utah/utah-county)
We can reimburse you for a food handlers permit. Please check with us via email before you purchase the permit.
