InterMuse Academy engages teachers in the pursuit of personal musicianship, and in sound pedagogical practices that will inspire their students to become independent music makers and thinkers. When children are taught by highly skilled teachers, they become adept at singing, hearing, reading, writing, creating and interpreting music in such a way that they can be lifelong participators and contributors in music.

Do you want stronger connections with your students, parents, and administration—and greater confidence in advocating for your music program? This session is for you.

Join Deanna Lee, an experienced educator, music specialist, and current assistant principal, as she shares valuable insights for navigating the relationships that shape our music teaching environments. By developing this essential part of our practice, we create more joyful, harmonious connections that support both our students and our programs. When relationships grow stronger, so does our ability to lead, teach, and share our individual gifts and talents.

This session is especially valuable for anyone who works closely with students, parents, or school administration.

For 30 years, InterMuse participants have been inspired by the pedagogy, musicianship, and friendship of our beloved Hungarian faculty. Their teaching truly reflected Erzsébet Szőnyi’s vision to “build bridges among people, from soul to soul.”

Join us June 19–20, 2026, as we celebrate the InterMuse 30th Anniversary Symposium—and welcome our dear Martá, Judit, and Zsuzsánna to inspire us once again!
