Proud teacher moment! just made it back from the 's WorldSkills USA where he placed 2nd!
-
Jordan placed 4th in high school then took first at state in 2021 for post secondary, then 11th at nationals then 2nd at worldskills trials.🙌🏼
-
This is an amazing accomplishment to say the least, the top 12 from the national competition that are age eligible are invited to compete in the pretrials process where it is narrowed down to top 6. Top 6 compete down to top 3 then top 3 compete down to top #1. Countless hours under the hood putting his amazing talents to work. Very proud to have had the chance to watch him in his journey to greatness! Big big things to come for Jordan and his future!

._jake doing what he does best, letting his talents do the talking 😎👨🏭 Jake is the Silent Killer of our shop at Provo High. He doesn't say much, every now and then you'll see him smile, he never brags or says he's the Top Dog but I bet if you asked any of his peers who is the best welder at PHS they would all undoubtedly say Jake "The Big Iron" Peterson!
-
Took this video of him knocking one of his peers welds ( ) off of our "Money Tree" with little to no effort on his end. He didn't run to anyone to brag or show off, he did it for himself which is why he is our "Silent Killer"!

The names Francis, Max Francis. Master Fabricator 😎👨🏭
-
Max is someone who takes the phrase "Built not Bought" and turns it into a lifestyle. He took an old set of trailer rims and tires and turned it into this sweet ride! From the hubs, head tube, front and rear axles (that he turned the threads on himself), weldable bungs for his heim joints, rear swing arm, chain tensioner (which he turned down on our lathe and pressed the bearings in), the exhaust, triple tree and handle bar clamps, front forks, kick stand, custom aluminum gas tank that he had to make very precise measurements and cuts to ensure he didn't waste any material and have the best fit up he could. He and his Dad even made the fill tube and cut threads on it so that he could use the cap from one of his water bottles.
-
Max has got a bright future ahead of him with his talents. I'm very proud to have gotten the chance to teach him. He can run every piece of equipment I've got in the shop and he was always one I could count on to lend a helping hand and help his peers with their projects.

Grant Knudsen, an Entry Level student, had his fair share of challenges refurbishing old parts to work with his new bike and with every challenge and setback he took it like a champ and pushed through!

This is Jared Eberhard and his slick bench he built this year and entered in the .cte.weld.expo where he won the Best of Show award. Jared took his time measuring twice, cutting once and paying very close attention to his fitment.
