A little about me:
I LOVE to sing! But it hasn’t always felt natural; I’ve taken voice lessons since I was 13 years old in Massachusetts and studied music intensively ever since. I firmly believe that singing is not a “gift that you are either born with or not.” Like playing any other instrument, singing is a skill that can be learned and developed. The voice is also a muscle that must be trained through healthy practice! Teaching voice is my passion, and I’ve been privileged to teach many amazing students since 2022.
Since coming to Provo, I’ve sung with every BYU choir (excluding Men’s Chorus; they wouldn’t let me no matter how desperately I pleaded), soloed in Heart and Voice productions, toured Europe and South America with BYU Singers and Concert Choir, performed with them at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, participated in the chorus of “Cordero de Dios,” and sung with the BYU Opera. I’ve honed my skills through lessons with esteemed voice teachers at BYU including Ruth Ellis, Diane Reich, and Korianne Johnson.
Outside of music, I love to travel, bake, read, crochet, and refinish thrifted furniture. Most importantly, I have an incredible little family: my husband, Dane, our tabby cat, Duchess, and a baby boy on the way, due at the very end of August! We all love to play board games, explore nature and watch birds together. I’m excited to learn more about you too!
