Hi Everyone!
With our new purchase and expansion into a 3-6 program, we have started a GoFundMe to help with some of our financial needs, such as hiring new teachers and buying our Montessori furniture and materials! We have been open for almost a month, and our kids are thriving and loving the new space! We appreciate donations and are excited to continue bringing more childcare and Montessori education to Rhode Island!
Warmly,
The Tiger Lily Team 🧡

Hello Wonderful Friends/Families!
We are enjoying the back to school season and feel that our students and teachers are really settling in!
That being said, we wanted to share our Amazon Wishlist with our FB community. We are so grateful for the endless support we receive for past/current families and those who are just helping us along the way. All of the items on the list go directly towards our classrooms. There are things like cleaning supplies, books, art materials, etc that our school is in need of! Thank you all so much!

A lot of people have heard of Montessori education and Montessori schools but few actually know the origin and how it all began.
Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator, and innovator. She was a trailblazer of her time, as she was the first female medical doctor in Italy. She looked at children differently than anyone had before. She saw so much potential, and so much brilliance within her students. She sacrificed so much for the lives of others.
We are attaching a few wonderful articles all about Maria Montessori and her legacy. Please give them a read to learn more about why we hold this work so dear to our hearts.

Hello TL Families! We are back into the swing of things this back to school season. We know that this is a season of big transitions for our parents and students. Some of our students have never been in childcare before. Some parents have never had someone else care for their child. And change can feel so hard! This is why we wanted to share this article via Janet Lansbury about parent self care and what that can actually mean! Janet is not referring to taking an extra long shower or running errands child-free (even though those are important!), she is speaking about ways to care for yourself while also caring for your child. We found this article very insightful and we hope that you do too!
Let us know your thoughts about this article and share ways that you utilize self care practices in your parenting!
The Self-Care Parents Need Every Moment - Janet Lansbury
I’ve been encouraged lately by a slew of online articles focusing on the importance of self-care. It’s one of the fundamental truths of successful parenting: Happy parents are better parents, which makes for happier kids. Self-care is not only unselfish, but mandatory for maintaining our sanity ...

“… the child’s individual liberty must be so guided that through his activity he may arrive at independence … the child who does not do, does not know how to do.” —Dr. Maria Montessori, The Montessori Method
