IT'S VOTING TIME!!!!
Please note that if you are expecting any 2024 election related materials which may be time sensitive, we encourage you to stop into Mail Services and inquire with the attending mail clerk for any election materials that you may have available for pickup from your student mailbox.

Feel free to start shipping your items to the University! We accept packages from Amazon Direct, USPS, FedEx and UPS. Remember that we DO NOT accept packages from other 3rd party vendors such as Walmart, Door Dash, VEHO, etc. If you are shipping through Walmart especially, you must tell them that direct deliveries from them are not accepted and they must ship through one of the approved vendors. (Amazon Direct, USPS, FedEx and UPS). We are already seeing Walmart dropping off and leaving items unattended all over campus. That's a safety and security hazard.

Your "Welcome to Brown" e-mail will be sent to you shortly!! It will give you all the info that you need to ship items to the University for the upcoming academic year. You can start to ship items to Mail Services beginning the first week of August. We look forward to seeing you!!!

"Non-Approved" Delivery Services
Over the last few weeks, Mail Services has received a large number of packages that have been left in the lobby of Page Robinson Hall.
Please be advised that for safety reasons the ONLY packages/items accepted by Brown University Mail Services are packages/items with full student addresses and mailbox numbers delivered by USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon Direct, DHL and LaserShip with tracking numbers. We do NOT accept deliveries straight from the retailer, such as Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe’s etc. (i.e., “shipped from store”). When you place your online order, please make sure to double check how your package will be delivered.
If packages are left in the lobby, this means that the unauthorized delivery service took it upon themselves to just leave the package there when the Mail Services team did not accept it.
These and any other types of unauthorized deliveries such as food and/or grocery items (i.e. Grubhub, Doordash, Walmart +, Target.) left unattended in the Page Robinson lobby will be promptly removed and donated to a local charity.
For the packages that are currently in the lobby of Page Robinson Hall, if you suspect that your package was shipped here, please retrieve it in the next 3 days. After this time, they will be donated to a local charity.
This is a one-time notification reminder of Mail Services’ policy regarding package delivery. Going forward, any additional unauthorized deliveries that are left in the lobby will be donated to a local charity within 48 hours.
Communication regarding Mail Services’ instructions on package delivery is sent to incoming students with their Welcome email which also provides their box number and other information regarding mail services. This information is also available on our website and posted to social media.

REMINDER!!! PLEASE READ!
Please note that Mail Services only receives Walmart packages that are shipped to us through the USPS or UPS. We DO NOT accept Walmart packages delivered by Walmart directly through their 3rd party delivery services. Please check your Walmart order and confirm they are shipping through one of the 2 approved vendors and not using a direct delivery service. If not, you will arrive at Mail Services and your items will not be here.

Yesterday we sent out the first round of "Welcome to Brown" e-mails. We'll finish up today. Feel free to start sending in your packages to the mail facility. We'll have them ready for you when you arrive at the end of the month. Special hours for Labor Day weekend will be posted over the next couple of weeks.

Welcome to Brown! During the first week of August you will be receiving a "Welcome to Brown" email. We will provide your mailbox number as well as the address to send along all your packages. After you receive the information, feel free to start shipping your packages into the mailroom. They will all be available when you arrive on campus. Thanks!

Congratulations to all the graduating Seniors! This is just a reminder that we have moved to Summer Hours. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, Closed on Saturday and Sunday. We will go back to academic hours in mid-August. Have a great summer!

Mail Services does not accept deliveries directly from Walmart through a 3rd party such as Door Dash, If your order is listed as "store delivery", you must contact Walmart to have it changed to have it shipped through one of the authorized vendors. Otherwise, you will not receive your items. Please plan ahead to avoid any delays in receiving your items!
