Join us for the final lecture in the Religious Environments in East Asia series, “Ports, Ships, and Pagodas”! This lecture will be led by Hsueh-man Shen, Ehrenkranz Associate Professor in World Art from the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU. Occurring in RI Hall 108 located at 60 George Street, the lecture will last from 5-6:30pm on Thursday, April 17th.

Sponsored by the Department of Religious Studies, the Bishop McVickar Prize is awarded for the best honors thesis written on any topic related to the academic study of religion. Submissions are welcome from current Brown University students in any concentration, drawing upon any methodology. Endowed in 1909, the prize has been awarded to students from a wide range of concentrations. Prizes typically are awarded to several students.
The deadline for submission for the 2025 prize is 4pm on Monday, April 28.
