Today we had a special visitor at BFP! Rachel Briggs from the RI Black Storytellers shared some interactive stories with us, all with the message that DIFFERENT IS GOOD!

Rachel's message fits perfectly with the goals of anti-bias education and our commitment to celebrate what is unique and special about each child.

All four of our classrooms enjoyed their field trips to Ocean State School of Gymnastics! Kids had fun jumping, climbing, balancing, and tumbling...and were thoroughly exhausted by the end. That's a sign of a great field trip! Thanks !

We had an incredible Community Bake last night at Flatbread Pizza! Thanks to all the businesses who donated to our silent auction and to our whole community for coming to support us! We are especially thankful to Flatbread Pizza for hosting us and donating a portion of the evening's sales to BFP.

On Friday, we said goodbye to our six baby chicks! BFP kids enjoyed watching them develop from egg to chick. We hope they will continue to thrive at Casey Farm!

Last but not least, today we thank our multiclassroom teachers! These talented teachers demonstrate flexibility and patience every day. They support all children and teachers in our program, sometimes switching from room to room all in the course of a day. It takes a special person to excel in this role!

For the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week, the Board of Directors provided a pizza lunch, and each teacher received a gift bag from the Family Association. Thanks to everyone who made our teachers feel special this week!

Today we acknowledge the Sparrows team. By celebrating each child’s individual strengths, these teachers build a vibrant learning community in the classroom. Sparrows teachers model respect and care for all people and living things.

Today the Parent Association provided another round of sweet treats! Our BFP teachers are feeling well-fed and appreciated!

Special thanks today goes to the Robins teachers! This team is constantly providing creative hands-on learning opportunities for their students. Work displayed in their classroom highlights children’s learning in a way that is meaningful to both children and their families.

Today the Parent Association provided an Olive Garden pasta bar for all BFP teachers!

Our celebration of BFP teachers continues with the Puffins team! These skilled teachers work diligently to support their students every day. Using thoughtful planning and routines, this team creates a predictable environment for children to learn and grow.

Today the administration provided Panera box lunches, and families brought in delicious sweet treats!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Our BFP teachers are the very best! We'll be highlighting our teaching teams all week.
Special thanks today to our Chickadee teachers. This fun team creates a warm and welcoming environment every day, in which children’s strengths are honored and challenges are thoughtfully supported.
This morning the Parent Association treated all teachers to a bagel breakfast. Some parents even helped supervise the playground so teachers could enjoy a relaxing breakfast!

We had a great time last night at our Track 15 event! Thanks to all the families, teachers, and board members who came. Our community is a big part of what makes BFP so special!
