Kick Butts Out of RIC was founded by students of Rhode Island College who have had enough of the smoking problem that has diseased the campus for years.
There is not one building that non-smoking students/faculty/guests can enter that does not have smokers lighting up nearby. The campus is polluted. The carcinogens in second-hand smoke fill the air both outside the classrooms and inside as it can be smelled by students sitting in class, trying to get an education in which they pay for. Third hand smoke or the tobacco residue also pollutes the camp

This building houses the headquarters for RIC's Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the psychology department, the campus's main academic computer lab and many classrooms for students. It's also right next door to the Henry Barnard elementary school.
Today marks the beginning of a campaign aimed at getting rid of the horrible smoking problem at Rhode Island College. Students and staff who are non-smokers have suffered way too long. There have been too many freshman who began their college life as non-smokers and finished hooked on ci******es. Our campus is polluted. Harmful carcinogens fill the air all around the campus. Enough is enough!
