The Open Call “Eurotopia” is an integral component of our upcoming exhibition “Europe: Ancient Future”, curated by Sandro Droschl set to open the newly formed HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark in April 2021.
“Europe: Ancient Future” presents an extensive selection of international contemporary positions that focus on the history of ideas, myths, values, and ruptures of a – currently rather reserved – united Europe, which is being examined beyond its economic and political developments as a hotly debated cultural-historical project with utopian potential.
We kindly ask you to submit works that allow us to see a variety of European Futures: What is your Europe? Is it a utopia or reality? Where do you see yourself represented?
All contributions will be accessible online via the platform nextmuseum.io and via the HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark website and in the foyer of the institution. Selected pieces will be highlighted through an in-house event and, if possible, discussed with protagonists who will be invited to Graz.
The submissions will be reviewed editorially and only then put online. The editorial team reserves the right to disregard unsuitable contributions without giving reasons.
Open Call: 2.2.-2.4.2021

Hey! I’m Liam, a rising junior at Brown studying computer science. After going through a lot of trouble with storing my stuff this summer, I thought it’d be cool to have a platform that connects students who need storage to those that have space in their apartments/houses. Additionally, we can also connect students that need moving help to those with cars that are willing to help.
I am building this web app using React with 2 other friends (all brown CS students). The tentative name is Boxity. We want to bring onboard a graphics designer and figure out a prototyping workflow involving something like Figma. If this seems interesting, please text me - my number is 4015436667.
Looking for a Photoshop graphic design wiz to assemble a mockup a poster in the spirit of Vasilis Marmatakis. Hit me for this quick gig:)
What do you all think of this art?
In facing the challenges that COVID-19 poses to studio education, the RISD Graphic Design department has drawn from its strength as a community of creative communicators to build dynamic remote learning environments and make work that is both publicly engaged and personally meaningful.
Assistant Professor Ramon Tejada and fellow assistant professors Kelsey Elder and Minkyoung Kim MFA 15 GD talk about transitioning from on-campus to remote learning and how designers are reevaluating the role of creative practice in a world that is now even more unpredictable than ever.
Merging theory with technique, Assistant Professor RISD Graphic Design Anastasiia Raina is reimagining the future of graphic design.
Since discovering the medium of graphic design soon after arriving in the US in 2006, Ukranian-born artist Anastasiia Raina has ambitiously reimagined design practice through the lens of posthumanism—a body of thought that addresses (among many other things) the blurring of boundaries between human beings and advanced technologies.
