Founded in 1998, Brown EP has facilitated a wide array of activities on campus for nearly three decades to bring together like-minded individuals, instill the Brown community with a self-starter mentality, introduce entrepreneurship as a career path, and provide capital to student ventures. A weekend long-conference that brings together innovative startups and talented students. At

Brown, there is plenty of exposure to larger companies, but students are often unable to be immersed in the exciting world of startups. At Startup@Brown, students come to learn about startups and their stories through small group discussions with founders, engineering leads, and VC’s from companies such as Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Teespring, and Casper. SYNAPSE

A summer program for 20 of Brown and RISD's most exceptional engineers, designers, and aspiring entrepreneurs to visit an array of companies and build essential bridges with successful alumni entrepreneurs over the course of their summers. Synapse Fellows return to College Hill with the perspective and network necessary to solve world-changing problems. Previous summers have included trips to KPCB, Apple, Dropbox and Neon Labs. Weekly talks from visiting entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and business leaders. Each event is an intimate setting full of free flowing conversation and inspiration. EP SPEAKER SERIES

A yearly EP event to provide the Brown community with entrepreneurial speakers who are thought-provoking and provide insight that complement the academic, extracurricular and developmental elements of the Brown experience. Prior speakers have included David Ebersman, former CFO of Facebook; Alexis Ohanian, founder of Reddit; Jerrome Jarre and Casey Neistat, internet superstars; and Ted Turner, founder of CNN

HACK THE RATTY

A weekly space where students from technical and nontechnical backgrounds can come together to work on independent projects and learn skills together. The event started in the beloved Sharpe Refectory (Ratty) but has grown to other rooms across campus. RECRUITING EVENTS

EP has helped coordinate on-campus recruiting events for entrepreneurial employers who visit Brown. If your company would like assistance with hosting an info-session, spreading the word, or hosting a networking session, contact us. INNOVATION DOJO

A semester-long student-led workshop series designed to challenge underclassman at Brown and RISD to think differently about innovation and entrepreneurship through weekly classes and design workshops. BROWN VENTURE FELLOWSHIP

Brown Venture Fellowship (BVF) is a year-long program that accelerates the development of Brown’s top commercial and technical student entrepreneurs through intensive skills training, the collective intelligence of the community, and complementary coursework. We want you to experience the process of testing your services and products with customers to see what works. BVF will help you launch your venture, develop your entrepreneurial skill set, and acquire the tools to approach real challenges.

Brown Venture Accelerator (BVA): Launchpad is an interactive kickoff event and teaser for our startup accelerator launching next semester. You’ll rotate through focused sessions, giving you the chance to have direct, high impact conversations with multiple industry professionals in one night. These sessions include small group and 1:1 conversations with diverse entrepreneurship experts in law, GTM, marketing, tech, and venture. Get real, personalized advice on your ideas.

Join us on April 24th from 4 to 7pm for dinner, meaningful connections, and the chance to ask your biggest startup and entrepreneurship questions, then walk away with insights and contacts that actually move you forward. The event will be followed by EP’s annual Pitch @ Brown competition.

Join us this Thursday for a rooftop sunset social with LAUNCH, Rhein-Main - the Rhine-Main region in Germany’s central student startup incubator! It will be at 116 Waterman Street from 7-8:30! Come enjoy food and refreshments in the nicer weather, sunset, and good company!

This Thursday (4/2) , EP is hosting a social with LAUNCH Germany. The event will be held at Pizza Marvin’s and all are welcome to attend! LAUNCH Rhein-Main is the region’s central student startup incubator, with over 770 members. Come for free pizza, good conversation, and a great time!
