We have the ability to hold our partners accountable and make sure that sustainable change is taking place.
RISE at Brown is a student-run nonprofit that is partnered with an organization in Kenya to address issues of youth empowerment, mental health, and life skills in a sustainable way. The chapter of GlobeMed at Brown will work specifically with fundraisers for a community in Kenya and will allow members to directly see how our money is being used. It is through GlobeMed's unique partnerships with communities and the relationships we build that we can truly make a difference.

In the summer of 2018, the cohort of girls from Star of Hope School graduated from the Kuza program after two years. This was a very exciting event, and we at GlobeMed Brown are proud of them and can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish in the future!

Ahjeetha— brown connect gives students the opportunity to learn from and utilize the help of the alumni that came before us to help guide us towards what we wanna do in the future
Sam— brown connect is a cool way to search by both field of study/occupation and location so I can meet with alums in specific areas
Molly—I love brown connect because it makes me feel more connected to the brown community and makes me feel like there is a community supporting me as I transition to the workforce
Isaac— i love brown connect because there a lot of opportunities and people doing things I am interested in that I can reach out to and learn from. For me, all the shadowing I’ve done with doctors has been through brown connect.
Subhanik— brown connect is a good platform to connect with individuals who have gone through a similar education that we have and use those connections to learn from older generations
Sai— brown connect is a really great resource that encourages networking
