We believe that learning is an interactive process that requires active thinking and experimenting. As educators we set the stage for children to learn through child-initiated, child-directed, and teacher-supported activities. These activities encourage each child to explore, experiment, and grow at his or her own rate of development.

Did you know that we are about halfway between June’s last day of East Side Nursery School and the first days of orientation in September?
The teachers are imagining that you are enjoying books, wondering about science and nature, creating art, growing in so many ways, spending time with your family, getting messy, and playing outside.
We look forward to seeing you at our Thursday park play dates and hearing all about what you’ve been up to.

The rainstorm held off and it was a beautiful night for our East Side Nursery School annual family picnic. So great to see alums, recent graduates, current students, and future students all together. We love our community.

We had two celebrations with our wonderful East Side Nursery School community last week. The ice cream/popsicle parties were perfect for the very hot weather. Congratulations to all the students on their many accomplishments this year. We’re excited for the adventures that lay ahead. The teachers already can’t wait to see them again at our school picnic next Thursday evening, 6/18/26.

An unexpected gem shower hit our playground over the weekend. Fortunately we have some excellent collectors at East Side Nursery School.

We can’t quite believe this is our last week of nursery school before summer vacation. It’s sure to be another week of color and collaborative play, creating and sharing, and laughter and family. And GOOD NEWS our summer play dates are right around the corner.

We had TWO Bus Rides to Nowhere last week, and they could not have been better! Thank you to the parents who joined us, the excellent drivers Junior and Pierre, the gorgeous weather, and, of course, our brave chicken. We’re remembering just how many skills we have - like trying new things and being brave - as we head toward summer and the adventures ahead. Well done, East Side Nursery School students!
