Yesterday we celebrated the retirements of our long time school counselor and Lasallian animator, Mr. Regan and our dear pirate principal, Mrs. Soltys.

The 5th graders wrote this song for their favorite principal.

We are some mighty pirates
We sail the ocean blue
We want to let you Know
That we made this song for you

Arggg

We made this pirate song
It's you we want to thank
But like every pirate
You'll have to walk the plank!

Aye

Watch out below for the alligator
we'll not say goodbye
We say see ya later!

Arghhh!

Because you've worked so hard
for every pirate boy
Wed like to send you off
With this song of JOY!!!

Next teacher up for appreciation...

Mr. Wolf!

"Mr. Wolf helps us with things we might not learn otherwise. He was the first person to teach me how to hammer and measure, and I really appreciate that!"

Mr. Wolf launched a new class this year called Integrated Life Skills in which he introduced things like gardening and nutrition, carpentry, 3D modeling, observational sketching and writing, and so much more. Even how to change the batteries in a beeping smoke alarm!

Thank you for all you do, Mr. Wolf!

Let's celebrate another amazing SMS teacher!

Here's to Mr. Benjamin, our Tech and Robotics teacher!

"Mr. Ben is nice and he makes the lessons interesting and fun, even the hard ones!"

Thanks for inspiring the boys with fun hands-on projects that capture their creativity and inspire teamwork and problem-solving!
