We’re finishing up our 112th Field Day coverage with the Upper School events, where our 9th- to 12-graders gave it their all in everything from the tug-of-war to the slip-and-slide! 💦

Pizza anyone? Transferring towering piles of pizza boxes was one of the creative — and comedic — Middle School relay races at today’s 112th Field Day. If you’re hungry for more, we’ve got you covered...a second batch of Middle School photos is coming right up. 🍕

We’re back with a whole lot of images from Wheeler’s 112th Field Day, and like in the Apache Race, we’re starting with Lower School! Here’s the first post of two from the Nest through Grade 5 events.

Today’s Apache Race was golden(!), as Team Gold ran away to a sweep in both the boys’ and girls’ races at our 112th Field Day. ⭐️

The sun was shining and so was our school spirit as the procession, led as always by the alumni in attendance, made their way to the field at Wheeler Farm. After welcoming remarks from Head of School Mark Anderson P’27 and a fantastic rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” by Annie S. ’32, the 1st-grade runners kicked off the first race.

Congratulations to Team Gold on their Apache achievement…we’ll have more from the rest of Field Day in upcoming posts!

Our pre-k students are ready to fly forth from The Nest! At a moving up ceremony this morning, their families, friends, and teachers gathered at Wheeler Farm to celebrate this early milestone in their educational journeys. There were songs, celebratory certificates, and lots of cheers. Please join us in congratulating them as they take their steps to kindergarten! (And well-deserved congratulations as well to their teachers, Meaghan Daniels, Maria Davis, Jesse Howroyd, Courtney Newby, and Matt Silveira!)

There was no sweeter way to wrap up the school year✨! Last Friday, Lower School students and their families gathered on Pembroke Field for an end-of-year Ice Cream Social🍦 hosted by the Wheeler Family Association. Filled with smiles, conversation, and plenty of sweet treats from Two Scoops Cafe, owned by Director of Dining Services Torri Hieber, the afternoon was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate another memorable year together as a community.

💟Thank you to the Wheeler Family Association for organizing this fun tradition and helping bring our community together.

With the final week of school now underway, our community is looking forward to a week filled with beloved traditions — from Field Day and closing assemblies to Moving Up Ceremonies and Commencement 🎓— as we celebrate the growth, achievements, and milestones of students across every division! 💜🎊💛

🚀Who's ready to run, cheer, and go all in for Gold 🦁 or Purple 🐮?
