Today is the Spring Equinox—a perfectly balanced moment between light and dark. It’s a wonderful time to notice the small changes all around us and to catch glimpses of little rabbits, like the beautiful one created by our Violet Kim, hopping around and nibbling on our precious flowers.

We love this TBT to Boxes for Katje by Candace Fleming, illustrated by Stacey Dressen McQueen and published by Melanie Kroupa Books/FSG. This beautiful story about kids helping kids during WWII, inspired by true events, was Stacey’s debut picture book and a PW Flying Start. Published in 2003 and still one of our favorites. 💕

We hope something sweet and delicious is baking for everyone this Valentine’s Day, just like in this joyful illustration by our wonderful Renée Andriani.
