What luck! Luna Picks a Lucky Dumpling, written by Natasha Kim and joyfully illustrated by Violet Kim, publishes today by Charlesbridge! This third book in the series is packed with all the good stuff: yummy characters, fun quests, math-filled storytelling, and a happy ending. All of it is wrapped—like a delicious lucky dumpling—into a sweet story celebrating one of China’s traditional holidays: the Dragon Boat Festival.

This magical illustration by Sebas Serra, created for Una llegenda de Sant Jordi (A Legend of Saint George) by Joan Portell Rifa and published by Andana Editorial, captures the final moment of the legend: a brave knight saves a town—and its princess—from a terrifying dragon. ”After a fierce struggle, the knight managed to kill him. And from the blood of the beast a rosebush filled with red roses was born.”

Every April 23 in Catalonia, people celebrate by exchanging roses and books with loved ones. A day for bravery, roses, and stories—Happy Sant Jordi!
