This summer, students from Summer Prep Providence had the unique opportunity to step inside the world of business and manufacturing during a special visit to Matouk’s headquarters in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Matouk is a family-owned luxury linens company known for its high-quality bedding and home products. CEO George Matouk welcomed the students and shared the story of the company, providing an inside look at what it takes to build and lead a successful business.
Students toured the facility, seeing firsthand how Matouk’s products are made and learning about the many steps involved in bringing a product from concept to completion. Along the way, they were introduced to the wide range of careers that help the company succeed—from design and manufacturing to operations and human resources. Students also learned about Matouk’s deep commitment to sustainability and its investment in the local community.
Experiences like this are an important part of Summer Prep, exposing students to new industries, workplaces, and career possibilities while helping them make connections between their education and their future goals.
