The Brown Brain Bee is a neuroscience outreach program for high school students in Rhode Island. We also organize the annual RI Brain Fair!

The Brown Brain Bee is a competition designed to introduce youth to the field of neuroscience. The 2017 Brown Brain Bee took place on February 11, 2017. During the competition, students are tested on their knowledge of various aspects of the brain, such as learning and memory, sleep, addiction, movement, and neurological disorders. Unfortunately, due to a temporary change in Brown University policy, the Brown Brain Fair has been cancelled until further notice. In the interest of preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, effective Monday, March 9, all in-person Brown events with 100 attendees or more (such as the Brain Fair) must be postponed or cancelled. We will continue to monitor the situation and may be able to reschedule the fair for a later date. In the meantime, thank you all so much for supporting the fair!

Brain Bee classes will start back up again tomorrow, 1/25! As usual, they will be in Alumnae Hall 212 from 1-3 pm. We hope to see you there!!

Tomorrow's class at Brown will be the last class until we get back from break in January. After class from 3-3:30, you can stick around to try miracle berries, which make sour foods taste sweet! We hope to see you there!

If you love science outreach and are passionate about neuroscience, we'd love to have you in one of our many open positions next year to help run and improve our program.
