Hi! My name is Caleigh and I am a member of BMSA’s Diversity Committee! I am a junior from Westfield, MA and I major in Sociology with minors in Political Science and Black Studies. I discovered BMSA at the end of my freshman year. I was taking Dr. O’Kelly’s Power of Whiteness class, and I was searching for a way to channel what I was learning about privilege, oppression, and social justice into my life on campus. That was when I found the Diversity Committee, which seeks to encourage dialogue and elevate voices that aren’t traditionally represented here at PC. I liked it because it provided me with a lot of hope. Learning about and living through social injustices is incredibly frustrating, but working on this Committee gives me the feeling that I’m doing something to fight that, even if it is just a small piece of the greater struggle.

Hi! I’m Carolyn and I’m a member of the BMSA Events Committee! The Events Committee plans the larger-scale BMSA events like Cheesefest and Cultural Jamboree! I’m a senior Biology and Sociology double major from Huntington, NY.
By the end of my sophomore year, I was struggling to find a sense of belonging at PC. I decided to apply to BMSA because I felt like it was a group and a space where I could be myself and share my passions with people who cared about similar things. I didn’t get on BMSA my sophomore year, but that only made me more adamant about trying again my junior year. This group has made me feel a part of something much greater than myself, and I have had the privilege of listening to and working with of some of the greatest student voices on campus. There is truly no group on campus like the BMSA family. I encourage everyone to come out and apply because you don’t know what you’re missing out on!
Applications are finally live! Apply today to join our family!
‼️APPLICATIONS COME OUT TOMORROOOOW‼️
Come pick one up at Red Polo Day from 5-7 PM in the Mural Lounge 5/15!

Hola! My name is Jarely Paulino Diaz, born and raised in the Dominican Rep. now live in Lawrence, MA (when am not in Prov) I'm a senior at PC and a member of BMSA Outreach committee. I found out about BMSA through Eric Rivera, BMSA 2015-2016 Prez. I started getting involved with the organization by going to different club meetings (Shepard, Afro Am, Women Empowered, and OLAS). I applied for the Outreach Committee my sophomore year, and have been part of it ever since. Outreach organizes and collaborates with other student groups to host on campus events, one of them being Pumpkin Fest, where we invite the PC and surrounding communities. BMSA is a well-rounded and welcoming organization, anyone who has a passion for social change and deconstructing stigmas... this is the organization for you!
We love the other clubs on campus, don’t get us wrong. But we got one quick question for ya... You applying to BMSA in 5 DAYS?!
Only 6 days until applications open and Amie Mbye only has one thing to say...
Should you apply to BMSA in 7 DAYS? The answer is YAAAAAA!
Just like LeBron James, BMSA strives to be the best. Only 8 DAYS until applications go live!
