We provide a very specifc vocational training program for entering into a very specifc area of medical device sales:

Orthopedic Spine & Biologics.

It's one of the top three highest-income earning specialties in medical device sales and participating in our course maximizes your chances of landing an entry-level sales role.

However, a large part of what we teach in our program is also transferable to other ares of orthopedic sales:

Sawbones have their place.

A quick, 5 minute demo to a busy surgeon or a lunchtime meeting; sawbones, a power tool and pizza.

But for the gold standard in learning an ortho spinal procedure, it has to be a cadaver specimen in a bioskills lab.

MDSI Curriculum insight: Imaging 🩻

A key part of the Orthopedic Spine & Biologics sales curriculum is "Imaging."

- Pre-op (MRI, CT & X-ray).
- used for identifying or confirming what is causing the patient's problem, or condition (the pathology).

- Intra-operative (Fluoroscopy).
- assisting the surgeon during the operation, e.g; removing bone, drilling and inserting implants (to correct or alleviate the problem).

- Immediate post-op (Fluoro' & X-ray).
- a snapshot of the end result of the surgery.

As a medical device sales representative giving operative support, it's vital to have an understanding of how to read & interpret medical imaging.

The ability to recognize anatomical landmarks and pathologies, across different forms of imaging, is a key attribute of a medical representative in ortho spine.
