We believe that expeditionary learning enables children to be active participants in their educational experience. At PCLS students learn academic content, skills and understanding through rigorous academic material and inquiry based learning expeditions. Think field trips but more awesome and more often!

We believe that the mental and emotional wellbeing our community members is of the utmost importance. We strive to create an environment that fosters a sense of interconnectedness, collaboration and belonging through music ensemble participation, learning excursions, community projects and mental health pauses.

Hello world! Allow us to introduce ourselves…Providence Conservatory Lab School (PCLS) is an innovative educational program that combines hands on learning with rigorous music instruction. Our program is grounded in the time tested teaching methods of “Exploratory Learning” (EL Learning), and Dr. Abreu’s “EL Sistema”.

Mission

We believe in raising up inspired scholar-artists through expeditionary learning and robust arts education. We believe that music and the arts as a whole are an integral part of the educational experience and that kids learn best by seeing and doing.
