Mother’s Day in an ICE Detention Center 05/14/2017

“They closed the doors with chains and we were unable to go to the bathroom,” one woman wrote, noting that a guard told her that “this is your punishment for coming here.”
Mothers and children are cruelly and unlawfully detained prior to and during their asylum proceedings in the US.
This detention is not only inhumane, it commonly leads to infections and deterioration of the children's health, with many children leaving detention with upper respiratory and intestinal issues.

Mother’s Day in an ICE Detention Center Obama’s family detention camps were strongly condemned for their inhumane conditions, but Trump has arguably made the situation even worse.

Call your senators and get them to publicly denounce the ban as unconstitutional. John McCain and several others have already spoken out against it, but congress can do better.

Tell Senate: Oppose the Muslim Ban President Trump has signed an order banning people from seven Muslim-majority countries and suspending the refugee program. We need all senators to oppose this order from the get-go. Ask your senator to denounce anti-Muslim hate and this shameful executive action.
