As new year's resolutions are being acted on, our NIH-funded research study is evaluating the effects of a mindfulness-based intervention customized for blood pressure reduction. Preliminary findings are promising with marked reductions in systolic blood pressure after 1 year follow-up in participants with hypertension. People with blood pressure greater than 120/80 mmHg are eligible.
We are currently recruiting for the next cycle that begins in March. The intervention meets once a week for 2.5 hours and runs for nine weeks. If you are willing, could you please forward this to anyone who may be interested, or may be able to help spread the word about the study?
