What's growing in the garden!

There is much that I love about teaching, but Science Thursday (with the bullhorn blasting three times in the background) is absolutely one of my most favorite things! This month's theme is Construction. We are using Home Depot kits, generously donated by one of our families, to learn about tools and how to use them.

Another fun day!

One of our newer students is really getting the hang of things at Indigo's Kids! First he took a taste test of the garden, then he looked on while the bigger kids checked out a caterpillar through the digital microscope. Followed by lessons, and nap time.

There's a lot about what I do that I love. Top of that list is gardening and showing young children how food is grown. And slowly but surely they overcome their fear of vegetables. And just like that they've formed a new healthy life long habit!
