Fun Fact Friday!
Did you know, our school was named after George N Hunt III the 11th Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of RI.
“Hunt served as bishop of Rhode Island from 1980 to 1994, immersing himself in challenging issues roiling the state and the church, and urging parishes in the diocese to intensify their outreach to people in need.”
Hunt was known to be compassionate in his work, and he was committed to issues in social justice.
He passed away at the age of 90 in 2022.
We strive to continue Hunt’s legacy in the work we do with our youth.

Rhody Grows Hope is a container gardening program that repurposes waste, teaching nutrition and stewardship through sustainable food growth. This connection fosters healthy choices and moves urban communities toward food sovereignty and security.
Our GNHS high school students learned sustainability, planting and growing the greens and houseplants for our first annual spring sale.

We will also have student created tote bags and other art pieces for sale!

Spring is here! Our bearded dragon, Puff, strut her stuff in her new dragon wing harness to prepare for walks in our garden!
(There’s a bit of a learning curve to getting the harness in the right position 😀)
