📚✨ Friday learning today looked a little different...
Flexible, fun, and engaging—while still remaining structured, prescriptive, diagnostic, and multisensory.
One of the things I love most about Orton-Gillingham is that it doesn't require students to learn in only one way. Learning can be kinesthetic. It can involve movement, games, and hands-on activities—all while targeting the specific skills students need to become successful readers.
When instruction is responsive to students and grounded in evidence-based practices, learning sticks.

Behind the scenes, there has been a lot of planning, paperwork, dreaming, and intentional work taking place to establish WattsNatural Tutoring in Trinidad & Tobago. 🇹🇹📚
What started as a vision rooted in literacy, opportunity, and community continues to grow beyond borders. We are excited about the connections being built, the possibilities ahead, and the impact this work can have on learners, families, and educators.
There is still much work to do, but we are looking forward to the journey ahead and all that is to come. One step at a time, we continue building toward a world where literacy is accessible to all.
If you'd like to get involved, leave us a comment or send us a DM.

✈️✨ A Week of Firsts! ✨✈️
This week was full of new experiences for many of our campers. They got to see a different side of airports—not the typical commercial hustle, but a closer look at how aviation really works.
During our tour of North Central State Airport and local flight school, curiosity took flight. From small aircraft to learning how pilots train, our students were in awe—asking questions, making connections, and imagining themselves in these spaces. 💭🛩️
Experiences like this open minds and expand what students believe is possible.

📺🌦️ A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Weather and the News! 🌦️📺
Our students had an amazing opportunity to visit News and meet meteorologist .J. Del Santo! 🙌🏽
They got a behind-the-scenes look at how the news is created and learned all about weather, forecasting, and what it takes to be a meteorologist. 🌧️☀️ It was exciting to see science, communication, and real-world careers come to life right before their eyes.
Moments like these spark curiosity, expand possibilities, and show our students just how many paths are out there for them. 💛
Thank you to WPRI and T.J. Del Santo for such a memorable and inspiring experience!

🔧✨ STEM in Action at Camp Today! ✨🔧
Today was all about hands-on learning and teamwork! Our campers dove into STEM kits, exploring concepts like hydraulics and how things move and work. 💡
Working in teams, students collaborated, tested ideas, made adjustments, and leaned into productive struggle—that powerful space where real learning happens. 🙌🏽
It wasn’t always easy, but that’s the point. They kept trying, thinking, and building—and the results were incredible.
We’re proud of our learners for staying curious, working together, and pushing through challenges. That’s where growth lives. 💛

✈️✨ Curiosity Takes Flight ✨✈️
While some of our campers explored off-site, our younger learners stayed on campus and dove into the inspiring story of Amelia Earhart. 📚
They learned about her humble beginnings—how something as simple as building ramps and experimenting sparked her curiosity about flight long before she ever stepped into a plane.
Through hands-on activities and imagination, our students began to see that big dreams often start with small ideas. 💡
We’re nurturing curiosity, creativity, and the confidence to explore—because every future innovator starts somewhere. Check out our little in #3 quietly and inquisitively inspecting the assembly of another team's project. 😁

A huge shout out to of for coordinating our trip to Textron. Thank you for hosting our students as we kicked off our first day of camp! 🙌🏽
Campers explored the exciting world of aviation—learning about different types of planes, the many career paths in the field, and even the aviation alphabet! 🛩️🔤
It was incredible to see their curiosity spark as they connected literacy, language, and real-world learning in such a hands-on way. Experiences like this bring learning to life and open students’ minds to what’s possible.
We’re so grateful for community partners like Textron and Black Pilots RI who invest in our youth and help us kick off camp with inspiration and impact! 💛
