2026-27 Leadership Announcement 📣

Kennewick School District has selected Jessica Wilson as the next principal of Sunset View Elementary School beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Ms. Wilson currently serves as principal of Keene Riverview Elementary in the Prosser School District, a position she has held since 2021. Before becoming a principal, she worked as an elementary math intervention specialist, fifth-grade teacher and elementary reading specialist.

“Ms. Wilson is a thoughtful learning focused leader who is committed to ensuring every student succeeds,” said Jared Lind, director of elementary education for the Kennewick School District. “Her strong instructional leadership, commitment to collaboration, and ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families will make her an excellent fit for the Sunset View Elementary community.”

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Washington University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Washington State University Tri-Cities

Last week KRV Staff put on an "Underground Spirit Week"
It was a fun week of staff secretly dressing up for students to notice. On Wednesday, it was "Anything But a Cup" Day. Check out these creative "cups" that staff brought to drink their daily pick me up in! 😊🤣

KRV First Grade Classes went on a field trip Friday May 8th to the Sacajawea state park! Mrs. Evan's, Mrs. Foster's and Mrs. Dowdy's classes enjoyed their day! ☀️
