No plans this weekend? The is the place to be and we at the are excited to be part of it! Join us on Lower Wood Street in California PA this Saturday & Sunday, August 22 & 23. We'll have info on our programs and trainings, some staff members ready to answer your questions, and a chance for you to learn about some of our newest activities and partnerships. Recently, the Center joined with the United Mine Workers of America, Center for Coalfield Justice Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, Washington-Greene Counties Central Council, Union Energy PA & In Solidarity to co-host a "Building Solidarity" event at our . This panel discussion forum brought together leaders from labor, , , and issues with local community members for an open communication on how these entities are all interconnected, especially in the face of orphaned and abandoned wells in our area. The impacts on our health and safety, as well as job opportunities and the local economy, make this subject of interest to all and we hope this panel will serve as a springboard to continued discussion and for others to become informed.

Teamwork makes the dream work! On Day 2 of the FIRST Robotics Competition (Greater Regional) Team got an assist in building their robot in preparation for last weekend's competition at the David L Lawrence Convention Center. Check out our vid!

Day 1 of the FIRST Robotics Competition (Greater Pittsburgh Regional) kicked off with a whirlwind of activity, but that didn't break the concentration of Team as they worked on their robot! This competition was held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in and provided not jut an excellent experience for the teams, but a great way to learn about for the general public as they saw advancing firsthand!
